Located in the serene village of Raia, South Goa, this 2455 sq.ft. villa is a dream retirement home for Akshay's parents. The unique, sloping plot offers a picturesque setting within a lush green belt, ensuring tranquility and privacy. Designed to embrace the natural contours of the land, the villa will feature an elongated layout to maximize space and views. With few immediate neighbors, the home promises a peaceful retreat, harmoniously blending modern comforts with the surrounding nature. The design focuses on sustainability and elegance, creating a perfect haven for a serene and fulfilling retirement.
Our mission
The steep contour and narrow width of the plot presented a design challenge. To address this, the villa is designed to rest in steps along the slope, featuring a lower ground floor, mid-level, and upper levels, all connected by a central stairway that opens into a courtyard. The client desired a contemporary look with a flat roof, but considering Goa's climate, we proposed a sloping roof concealed by raised walls. Additionally, laterite cladded walls were incorporated to blend the contemporary design with the site's natural context.
