Nestled in the serene locale of Benaulim, South Goa, the 3-star Fortune Resort enjoys a prime spot near the beach. With rooms showing signs of aging, ITC Group seeks a rejuvenating interior renovation. The goal is to seamlessly integrate traditional Goan architecture with modern aesthetics, creating a unique blend that honors local heritage while offering a fresh, contemporary vibe. This transformation will breathe new life into the resort, ensuring a perfect retreat that harmonizes with its idyllic surroundings.
Our mission
As architects, our mission was to design a space that harmonized with the client's vision while adhering to budget constraints. We chose to refurbish the existing furniture, addressing issues such as incorrect proportions and standard heights that made usage difficult for elderly guests. By modifying these elements, we enhanced comfort and accessibility. We infused elements of Goan architecture into the furniture and walls, blending these traditional touches with modern wall wash lighting. This approach allowed us to create a space that honors local heritage while embracing technological advancements, resulting in a beautifully balanced, contemporary environment.
