Table 99
This interior renovation project for Table 99, spanning 3,355 sq.ft in the heart of Fontainhas, Panjim, began while site execution was already underway. The client approached us to introduce the character and identity that was missing in the overall ambiance - something they could clearly envision but were unable to translate into the space. Our role was to bridge that gap and add the missing layer of soul to the restaurant. Inspired by the heritage surroundings of Fontainhas and the brand’s focus on brewed beers and authentic fusion cuisine, the design celebrates experimentation with Indian and Goan spices through textures, materials, and detailing. The result is a space that feels rooted, vibrant, and true to the spirit of Table 99.

Our mission
As architects, our mission was to bring clarity and character to a project where execution was already underway. Managing an active site required close coordination with existing vendors and contractors, clearly communicating the revised design intent, and implementing changes on ground. Being located within the heritage precinct of Fontainhas, the project came with added sensitivities, as surrounding residents were impacted by ongoing development in the area. The restaurant itself was housed within an old Indo-Portuguese structure, presenting its own set of structural and spatial challenges. Our approach focused on respecting the existing building, responding thoughtfully to the heritage context, and carefully integrating new design elements to create a cohesive and character-rich restaurant environment.
